About

My name is Cynthia Linklater, and I am an Indigenous woman from the Taykwa Tagamou Nation. I was born in Moose Factory, Ontario, but most of my childhood was spent growing up in Moosonee. In March of 2007, I made the decision to relocate to Taykwa Tagamou Nation.

I began my career within the Taykwa Tagamou Nation community as a receptionist. Over time, I worked diligently and was able to progress in my career. I was promoted to the position of Executive Assistant to the Chief and council.

After serving in this role, I decided to take a leave of absence and explore new opportunities. During this time, I transitioned into a role related to HR and Travel Coordination with the Joint Ventures associated with TTN.

Today, I'm proud to say that I have evolved further in my career and am currently working as a Comprehensive Community Planner. My journey from a receptionist to a Comprehensive Community Planner reflects my dedication to personal and professional growth, as well as my commitment to making a meaningful contribution to the Taykwa Tagamou Nation community. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had and look forward to continuing to support the development and progress of my community.
